Journey Concert

August 25, 2008 | Filed Under: Life

Holly crap, last night was like one of the best days of my lifeeee!!! It was an amazing concert, Heart and Journey on tour together! Me and my mom have a tradition to go to every Journey concert every year together. And right after me and my mom started listening to Heart a lot more we find out they're both on tour! cheer. Cheap trick was there too, they're pretty good i never knew their name but i knew a lot of their songs, like the one that played in Joe Dirt and the one in the beginning of That 70's show haha.

The whole place was PACKED. It was a 100% sold out concert. Me and my mom always get lawn seats which i like better anyways, and the whole entire lawn area was full, not one square inch left. It was so hard to navigate through everyone to get even something to eat or drink or go pee. I only left the spot once and it was horrible. Everyone yells at you, you don't want to step on someones blanket, and you never know who's gonna throw a punch. But my moms pretty good at it and she got us through kindof quick.

There were two things I was looking foward to the whole time; Heart singing All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To You and Jonathon Caine love singing Faithfully but Heart didn't sing my song and the new lead singer that Philippine dude named Arturo sang faithfully instead. frown Which don't get me wrong, the Philippine-o guy was AMAZING too, he sounded so much like Steve Perry and he was jumping around the stage like crazy and everything, i loved it.

I got a shirt with Journey on it and it's a pretty cool shirt but it's Medium because it took us forever to go get it that all the smalls were sold out. I love it though, i'll have my mom shrink the hell out of it haha.

I also met a couple of my friends there, and my cousins were right next to us too. Especially one that flew in from California for a couple days. His name is Ahmad, and I seriously missed him a lot, he's wicked cool. He's also in this band called A Smile From the Trenches. He just signed with them. He was in the band Beyond all Reason but they went there separate ways because of musical differences. I like this new band so much better though. Check them out.
